Our journey began in 2021 when our founder, James, realised he’d spent more time decoding hieroglyphs than picking out birthday presents for the family. Frustrated by generic gift guides that suggested a tie for every man and a candle for every woman, he decided to shake things up. And thus, The Gift Gap was born – a quirky corner of the internet dedicated to finding presents people actually want.

What We Do

At The Gift Gap, we scour the earth (and the internet) for the most unique, thoughtful, and sometimes downright hilarious gifts. Whether it’s your best friend’s birthday, your boss’s retirement, or a ‘Congratulations on Your New Hedgehog’ situation, we’ve got something that fits the bill. We also give the option of creating your own ideas using the medium of 3D print. Incorporating a design of your own making into the perfect gift for a loved one.

Our Team

We’re a small but mighty team fuelled by coffee, chocolate, and the occasional power nap. Our gift testers include real-life humans (and occasionally James’ dog, Rufus, who has impeccable taste in chew toys). Together, we work to ensure our recommendations are as delightful as they are unexpected.

Having worked in the print industry since 2006, and across many of its sub-industries such as Large Format & Commercial, I’ve also played a major part in their design/artworking processes.

I have a wealth of knowledge spanning this time to include CNC operations, laminating large graphics as well as applying/installing signage.

This has put me in a prominent position to produce the most amazing gifts, whether they’re for your loved ones or for your business, and bring new ideas to market whilst ensuring great quality and to tight deadlines.
